Notes: This show is awesome! The taper does a great job. There are shots of all of the band members and the camera work is just great. He is very close to the stage and it is at his level so the view of the band is pretty much unobstructed. The sound quality is excellent. Great Show!

Location: St. Andrew's Hall, Detroit, MI
Generation: VID2
Length: N/A
Grade: B+
Notes: This is a pretty good show from the Plea For Peace tour. It's filmed from the crowd, a little to the right of the stage. Since it is in the crowd, the shot is a little shaky sometimes and there are a lot of people's heads when the filmer pans back. For the most part the show is straight though and there are some really good, clear closeups. The sound is good to fair. Sometimes there's sorta of a "whooshy" sound. The set is pretty normal with the exception of a very early "You're Dead." The song really comes out well and it's worth getting the show just for that.

Notes: This show is shot from the balcony. The picture is very good with some awesome close up shots. The sound is sorta distant. I would rate it Average/Good. The setlist is solid with a good "Armageddon" and "Mr. Chainsaw."

14. Radio

Band: Blink 182
Date: 06-15-98
Location: Baltimore, MD
Generation: VID2
Length: 31 minutes
Grade: A
Notes: The band appears to be playing a free show for the local radio station. The picture here is very good and the taper gets some good closeup shots even though he is standing sorta far from the stage. The sound quality is very good. For some reason this video has those black lines on the top and bottom of it that you sometimes see when you watch a widevision version of a movie on your tv. Also in the bottom of the center of the video it says "our vacation." I have no clue why either of these things appear but I know that I forgot about them after watching the video for a minute. It's a cool show and the band is its usual goofy self. Apparently the last song of the band's set is cut from the original tape. As it is the tape ends on the last note of "Untitled."
1. Does My Breath Smell?
2. Josie
3. Dick Lips
4. Apple Shampoo
5. Mutt
6. Untitled

Band: FenixTX
Date: 07-30-99
Location: Warped Tour, Orlando, FL
Generation: VID1
Length: 30 minutes
Grade: A+
Notes: This video was taped at the 99 warped tour. It must have been really hot out because the band leader mentions the heat a few times and everyone is pretty sweaty. The taper is right at the base of the stage and he gets great shots of all of the band members. The sound quality is very good although the vocals are sometimes difficult to distinguish. I'm sorry that I don't know the names of a few of the songs. I only know what's on their album...
1. Apple Pie Cowboy Toothpaste
2. Minimum Wage
3. Ben
4. All My Fault
5. unknown
6. Rooster Song
7. GBOH
8. unknown

Band: The Honor System
Date: 12-11-99
Location: Buzz Coffeeshop, Cincinnati, OH
Generation: Soundboard -> Analog2
Length: N/A
Grade: A
Notes: I got this show from a guy whose friend had taped it from the soundboard. Unfortunately he could only get me a copy of it on tape (im too retarded to figure out how to put it on cd) but it didnt lose any quality at all. In fact it's pretty awesome. The show is very good, these guys are great musicians. My only complaint is that the vocals aren't loud enough but that doesn't take away from my enjoyment. So there!
1. Fool's Gold
2. Sit Pretty
3. Muffled By Concrete
4. Decompose
5. Facelift
6. Flight
7. Saints
8. Wax Wings
9. The Blaming Game

Band: Me First And The Gimme Gimmes
Date: 10-01-97
Location: Austin, TX
Generation: VID3
Length: 12 minutes
Grade: B-
Notes: The club where the guys are playing is pretty dark but the shot of the band is dead on. The sound is sorta muddy at times but its not unbearable and it gets better after the first song. The video is only 12 minutes long and cuts out in the middle of Danny's Song. I'm pretty sure this is because legally you can tape 12 minutes of a show without infringing on the band's copyrights. Generally I don't go for shows that are less than high quality but live stuff from this band is very rare so I think the tape is worth having. Besides how can you not love a Billy Joel cover???
1. Nobody Does It Better
2. Only The Good Die Young
3. Leavin' On A Jet Plane
4. Danny's Song (cut)

Band: Pearl Jam
Date: 09-02-00
Location: Sony E-Centre, Philadelphia, PA
Generation: Master CD
Length: 120 minutes
Grade: A+
Notes: This is a top quality show just like every other release from the Binaural tour. The show is great and Pearl Jam is in it's usual top shape. A rare performance is of "Footsteps" is a setlist highlight. The show has special meaning to me since I was able to attend...

Location: Key Arena, Seattle, WA
Generation: Master CD
Length: 167 minutes!!!
Grade: A++
Notes: This is the final homecoming show of the 2000 tour and it's truly amazing. For one thing, it takes up three cds! The mood is awesome and the crowd is going absolutely nuts. The setlist is huge and includes eddie covering black sabbath on the ukulelee, a rant about how Seattle is run by assholes, and a Yellow Ledbetter with a little Hendrix influence... A great end to a great tour.

Band: Slapstick
Date: 1995?
Location: Champaign, IL
Generation: VID?
Length: 15 minutes
Grade: B-
Notes: This is a great tape to have for any fan of this legendary Chicago ska band. (God that sounds like a crappy commercial or something) Anyway, this is a short but cool tape of the band playing in Champaign. They are probably playing somewhere on the Universisty of Illinois campus. They play about 5 songs. I really don't know too much about where this tape came from. I'm working to find the exact date of the show. It is taped from the stage, which is about three feet away from the band. The picture is pretty good but the sound quality suffers. This is probably becuase the place is so small and the sound is so big that the camcorder couldn't handle it all. The vocals are sorta poor. However, Slapstick video is fairly hard to come by. I think there are 4 or 5 shows circulating out there...

PS - If you didn't know, Slapstick contained members who later went on to be in such bands as Tuesday, Less Than Jake, The Broadways, The Honor System and the great ALKALINE TRIO! Not to shabby, eh?
